    Just a quick question...

I've been doing my research and I can't find any information on it.

I'm trying to figure out what type of program I would need in order to make music for film scores. For example:

http://fasig.tumblr.com/ (Link to my tumblr) It's the fourth entry down, with the music player.

If I wanted to make music LIKE that, what would I need?

If anyone could help that'd be great.

    Thanks :)

You'd need an orchestra, a synthesizer, an audio mixing program, and a few other machines.

I'm not trying to make it sound exactly the same as the other one.

But I know there are programs that you can overlap instrumental music that you have created.

One layer would be violin, one layer would be piano, etc.

I just don't know what the programs are called.

Audio mixing programs... they all allow you to use "layers of audio".

Audacity, Sony Acid, FL Studio, --- Tools are some good high end programs.

    Thanks much.

That's basically what I'm looking for.

Too bad it's out of my price range. :(

Well when I used to do mixing I used a decent program, it's not too expensive and does the same things... it's just a bit hard to get used to.

    It's called Mixcraft.

I use audacity to record my guitar playing onto the comp, It's really useful (plus you can add heaps of effects etc.) and it's free.
