Just a few hours ago at school they mentioned that Fillipinos are Asian. I always thought they was Pacific Islanders. So which are they? lol

Yes im a pinoy. My mom told me our island is in "Asia" but were not "Asian" kinda funky. Anyways im a pinoy. Yes Phillipinos are Rice Kings.
Philippines are in Asia... so they gotta be Asian. It's kinda like Palau, that's in Asia but I always thought it was in Oceania.
Isn't the Filipino language an amalgam of chinese and spanish? I had a friend in high school who was filipino (although he referred to himself as a 'fallopian' :lol: ) and when he spoke to his parents, I thought I had heard elements of both languages. I could be mistaken though. I'm no liguistics professional.
