Okay, I've searched but was unable to find anything. So okay, I downloaded this file a long time ago; its a .exe and I don't need it so I'm trying to delete it, but whenever I do it says "another program is using this file please close down...blah blah blah" well, I've closed down everything and it still won't let me delete it or anything. So any suggestions?

or you can change the file type of it by changiung it to "file.txt" instead of "file.exe". thats only if in folder options that you have "hide extensions for known types" is unchecked..

I've run Anti-Virus and AdAware multiple times and it doesn't work. I also can't rename, I'm doing Safe Mode now.

Unlocker is an explorer extension that allows you with a simple right-click of the mouse on a file or folder to get rid of error message such as error deleting file or folder, cannot delete folder: it is used by another person or program.

Helps delete locked files with error messages like:
    - Cannot delete file: Access is denied
    - There has been a sharing violation.
    - The source or destination file may be in use.
    - The file is in use by another program or user.
    - Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

    App
    Code:

usually the file is in use meaning you are using it or it's in the process somewhere, anyway safe mode should work and if not once you restart, first thing to do is find the file and delete
