IMHO - I think Final Fantasy 7 is much more worth your moneys worth.. and trust me i've played every final fantasy there is (except 11, too expensive for online fees man!) and i finished nearly all of em (except 9... 2nd cd is messed up). So anyways, final fantasy 8 is good, nice love story to it, but if you want your money's worth and get a game that will blow your mind away story wise, not to mention makes you wanna play over and over... then final fantasy 7 will pwn you everyday of the year. Oh did i mention, you have to tone down your gfx expectations, don't expect hi quality graphics... if i had a PS emulator on my mobile phone i can play FF7 (Nokia 6600 ) Anyways there's my view
FFVII is defiently better, much more of a challenge, well that is if you choose to kill ruby and diamond
