A Full Background of the current ages the players will be active in. Please leave me a comment on how i could be improved if so.

Welcome to the Third Age, the year is 1423 AGW (After the Great War), and the continent is at peace for the first time since the Great War. Well, almost.
It is 20 years since the end of the Unification Wars, when the Union defeated the Dagoth Ur and brought all the races together under a single banner. We’ve had three Tyrants since then, each elected from the Council of the Righteous Twelve by the people, and each dead by some unknown hand. But this is politics, and it would appear the Union is no weaker for it. The current Tyrant, a human man by the name of Tereth Harting, is certainly a man of strong will… He rules with a steady hand. The Order of Ra has flourished also, under more stable climate the Union has provided the ranks of Servants and Acolytes has swelled beyond imagining, much to the great pleasure of First Servant Arnuk. There are Order Churches in every town now, and almost every village. But certainly the greatest success of note in the past years has to be that of the Dar de Kai. Ever since the end of the war they have been scouring the continent for those with magickal potential an bringing them to the Academy. With the end of the fighting the Academy was moved to a location in the centre of the Continent, to show that the Dar de Kai stood for all races, and by now it stands at a size to classed as a city in its own right. The discoveries and students that continually stream out of that place of wonders has wrought incredible change to the Continent, far from the small group of warriors they once were, they are no a truly influential power.
But not all is peaceful in these lands I regret to say, for there are those who stand in opposition to the Union. They call themselves the Freeborn, an organisation that has risen up out of the ashes of the Dagoth Ur, though very few believe the rumours spread by the Union that the ‘Hidden Hand’, their most mysterious leaders, are indeed Daemons. No, it would appear that the Freeborn do not want power, they want rather the opposite. It seems having seen what such power can be done in the wrong hands, they wish to remove any form of organised government on the Continent and return power to the people. They make great use of their ‘Liberti’, the covert ops they use to infiltrate the Union and spread havoc were ever they can, though a few small battles have already been fought between the Legion of Dynamic Discord and the Unified Armies. The days ahead look bleak, but the Union Blades are doing all in their power to remove this threat to their stability as fast as possible, and the Unified Armies it would appear are easily strong enough to resist any Freeborn attack at the moment. How ever the Freeborn are quickly gaining support, so who knows what the future will hold. Along with the Freeborn has come a new faith as well, those strange Discordians and their mad Goddess Eris. They propose that the old ways are dead, and are striving to free the minds of the people from the constricting laws and traditions of the Order, with varying degrees of success. They claim to be led by a woman called Kallisti, apparently meaning the Pretties One, though it seems very few or maybe even none have actually seen her.
The Orcish threat has also returned with great force. Raids from the north are getting more and more frequent, and those mad once men are managing to reach further and further into the Continent. The Unified Armies are doing what they can, but it would seem it has become the duty of the Crimson Eagles to face this threat. A mercenary group led by the mighty warrior Pral Rask, the Eagles have dedicated themselves to eradicating this threat, and many a young warrior has rallied to their banner in hope of finding fame and fortune. Good luck to them is all I can say, the Orcs are a fierce enemy.
The Dark Ones have begun to resurface also, those group of Daemons that were cast out after the Dagoth Ur were defeated. What hideous people, worshiping the Void and even trying to free the Demons of old! Madness! They even try to claim that their leader, that vile Dark One himself, is in fact a Demon in the flesh! The Order has responded to this threat of course, in the form of the Golden Dawn, led by the revered Servant Lars Envilus, the Lord of the Morning. The Golden Dawn has dedicated itself to the removal of this evil threat, as well as to a lesser degree dealing with what they consider to be the Discordian heretics.
So, despite hopes that the Unification Wars would finally bring peace to our Continent, times are as turbulent as ever. And with so many separate groups vying with each other, it is hard for even a learned man such as myself to predict what the future holds…[/b]

guilds, clans, races and religions

Factions

The Union: The current ruling power over the continent after their victory over the Dagoth Ur in the last war. Led by the Tyrant and his council of the Righteous Twelve. The Council is made up of three members of each of the mortal races, their individual leaders and their two appointed partners. Upon the death of the Tyrant a new Tyrant is elected from the Council by the people. The Union wishes to bring order and solidarity to the Continent by unifying all of the separate races and creating a stable political environment.

The Freeborn: A rebel group who believe that no government has the right to rule the entire continent and who wish to return power to the individual peoples. Loosely led by the Hidden Hand, formed of the four fingers (A representative of each race) and the ruling thumb (elected by the other four). Having witnessed the devastating power of the Dagoth Ur under Daemon control it is their strong belief that governments are untrustworthy of such power, and will do anything to achieve its downfall.

The Dar de Kai: Made up of all of those who can wield magick among the mortal races, and not allied to any specific power or under any rule other than their own. Their home is the great Academy, now moved from its original home in Albion to a new location in the centre of the Continent, where it is now easily large enough to be a city in its own right. The Dar de Kai are led by the Grand Magi, those Magickal wielders who have achieved the highest levels in their chosen path.

Religions

The Order of Ra: Worshippers of the Great Lord of the Sun, Ra. The Order are loose followers of the Ancient Word, and is strongly tied with the Union. It is their belief that the Void is still out their and seeks to bring about chaos and destruction at every turn, and as such they seek to further the universal order and the strength of the eternal Good. Led by the First Servant of Ra, and made up primarily of Servants of Ra and Acolytes of Ra.

The Discordians: The Discordians worship a -------imaginary Goddess called Eris, derived from the ancient Greek Goddess of Chaos. The Discordians believe that the old views of absolute Good and Evil no longer work, as the Ancient Gods of the Word and the Void are now dead. They believe instead that there are both constructive and destructive elements of both Order and Chaos, and that people should strive for the constructive parts of both, rather than being stuck with both the constructive and destructive elements of Order. As such they strive show people that Order is not the only path, and that Good and Evil are not black and white. As partners of the Freeborn, they teach that each person is their own master, and that each should live freely. The Discordians are led by the legendary Kallisti, known by many as the ‘Prettiest One’, though it is said only the highest among the Discordians have ever seen her.

The Dark Ones: Worshippers of the Ancient Void, they believe that through sacrifice and dark powers the Ancient Ones can be freed from their prison and made the rightful rulers of the world, where they will make their loyal servants kings among their lesser kin. Led by the Dark One, a shadowy figure said by some to be a demon of old.

Armed Forces

The Unified Armies: The Armed Forces of the Union, they make use of ordered battalions and large numbers to find victory on the battlefield. Led by the current Warlord and his generals and captains.

The Legion of Dynamic Discord: The Armed Forces of the Freeborn, they rely on individual skill and guerrilla tactics to spread chaos and confusion among the Union. Organised by the Hand and led by individual Legionnaires in battle.

The Crimson Eagles: A mercenary group dedicated to the fighting and defeat of the Orc threat from the north. Made up of volunteers and led by the mighty warrior Pral Rask.

Covert Ops

The Blades: The Covert Ops of the Union, whose job is to find, infiltrate and destroy the hidden Freeborn operation centres.

The Liberti: The Covert Ops of the Freeborn, whose job is to infiltrate all areas of the Union and spread as much Chaos and confusion as possible.

The Golden Dawn: A militant off shoot of the Order of Ra, these Servants are dedicated to the destruction of heretics and followers of the Void. While most of their efforts are directed against the Dark Ones, they have been known to bring down Discordian Sects on similar charges… There is some dispute over whether they are justified in doing so. Led by the Lord of the Morning, a Dark Elf called Lars Envilus, a dedicated Servant of Ra, though considered by some to be some what over zealous.

Races (Playable)

Humans: Much the same in appearance as the men of old, they reside in the northern section of the Continent, with their Capital being the great city of Albion. Led individually by the High Lord and his appointed nobles.

Haven Elves: Short and agile Elves who live in the wooded lands to the east, with their Capital being the tree-house city of Haven, their name sake. Led individually by the Warden, the sacred keeper of their wooded home.

Dark Elves: Tall and lithe Elves who reside in the great grassy plains of the West, the lack of cover from the scorching sun has led them to develop the dark skin that gives them their name. Their Capital city is Hasti, a sprawling metropolis based around a large lake. Led individually by the Watcher and his Guardians, who reside in a great tower from which all the plains can be observed.

Ringe: A squat and stocky people thought to be descended from the ancient Dwarves, they reside in the rocky wastelands of the south. Their Capital is the Cavern, a great underground city built around a grand mining complex. Individually led by the King and his personal guard.

Races (Non-Playable)

True Elves: The last of the Elves of old, these long lived beings reside in recluse sanctuaries within the southern forests, allowing access only to a select few whom they consider to be friends. They have little to do with the mortal races.

Orcs: A collection of mad and mutated once men, pitiful remnants of the old race of man who have taken up residence in the frozen north. They spend most of their time fighting among themselves but are known to send hunting parties south, killing all in their path until they are stopped.

Fairies: Those fairies of old that did not enter mists are now coming of hiding after the devastation of the last Great War. Their alliances and motives are their own, some are hostile and others are not, and with some you just can’t tell. If you com across one… Be wary.[/b]

When me and a friend built a flash game, that took forever, and that was just small flash and 2 kids haha. It'll be stressful I can warn you now!
