Well first off I already made the map and I will post it at the of the post. Deal is I am going to be starting a website for a Story which I am writing. I am not much on Character graphics but, I like to give my legit copy of Photoshop CS2 a test run every once in awhile when it comes to making Maps (which I am horrible at but, eh.. I like to mess around). Any who, if someone would like to give it a try and make me a second map, or even edit the one I have it would be much appreciated. The size of the map would be 1600x1600 pixels Minimum and 2400x2400 maximum. Now I realize this isn't a request section and this wasn't meant to be a request for a new map. I am actually trying to get a more realistic looking Mountain Range Instead of my upside down V's which I used when I think I was 11 in art class ... and secondary but, not necessary would be my tree's, to tell you the truth they may look fine and I am just self conscious about them. Another note, if you decide that you rather just redo the whole map it doesn't have to be a exact duplicate but, I do want the main land features to be the same. If I went on a larger scale, say 4000x4000 pixels the map would have taken days to make instead of hours and looks a load better but, I haven't yet because I don't even know if this project will fly. I mean hell I haven't even came up with a name for the story =P, any who thanks for listening and I looking forward to your replies. Cool maps The mountains in the second and third look.. Well, the black is slightly too thick on one side of the mountain I reckon, but still, its a hell of a lot better than I could do.
Thank You. I can actually paint a better map. I mean I am a alright artist when it comes to using brushes and some paper/canvas.. trying to get into all this Photoshop stuff lately. Even took a class for it and this is the best I can do.. The story is about the Xeria Empire being in the middle of a full scale war between the Tres Empire and the Crufix Dynasty. Because the Xeria Empire is a Land Bridge for both the Crufix Dynasty and the Tres Empire there are a lot of battles on Xeria's empty plains. That is only what is going on though. The main character lives in Xeria and there is more to him then meets the eye and he doesn't even know it. The Xeria Empire itself is named after the Goddess of War on Dungeon Siege. This is just another one of the realms in which she has domain over. In my story it was a gift from the gods when she was first made in the void of space. Her first stomping grounds you might say, before she got the title "Goddess of War".. Anyways I can’t get ahead of myself or I will just give everything away. The whole point of the project is to have a main story going that you are welcome to read but, you can also add side stories or your own quest to the Saga in the land of Therion. I have 5 acts written at the moment, that is 50 chapters. when I get to 8 I will start designing/buying the site. Should be up in a few months I hope. Depending if I can get another artist on board from Elfwood. >.<
