Well heres my effort. lol it look snothing like it should do following your tut, buts following your guide has learnt me a lot about photoshop i didnt even know, like brushes, cloud filter ect ect.

I dont know if its because im using a newer version of adobe but i struggled with some of the settings like for the text, i couldnt find where to edit those settings you give, and the bit from changing the colour of the sig from dark grey using the colour balance, it didnt seem to make much difference, but that might have been the brush i used though.

Anyway, id like to say a big thankyou for this guide, its helped me 100% getting started. And i dont think this is too bad as my 1st effort

ty for the creds much apreciated, all questions are welcome noobie or not, i can see you didn't brush over you render, which means useing the colour balance won't help much atall, keep trying, and i can't post the brushes i use because i didn't make them.

nice end result, although i see you didn't feather your render or put the pattern over the render.

hmm i'll try to get you a tut on feathering because it's to much to type, and i said pattern over the render and erase "some" of the pattern so you leave a bit over and around the render, it helps it blend.
