Well, First off, the render doesn't "pop". And thus the sig lacks good depth. make the render stand out a bit more and you'll have some nice depth in your tag. I would try to sharpen his face (just a little) and mayber do a very slight burnage on some of his shadows. Maybe a bit dark too, but that can be fixed. Play around with the curves. ^_^
Try sharpening the render a bit to help your depth. I also recommend making a flow that isn't straight up and down, because that's typically not the best for this sort of angled render. I feel like it would do better full on BW, because it sort of looks mono and like half-purple. Did I imagine that?
Try some tuts man, sorry to be blunt. But IMO its the best way to learn. Its like at school you write notes, the reason being that to write it you must read it, its like a soft brain washing lol. Un-knowingly you remember more because you wrote it, it applies here too when you make somthing from a tut.
I can see some white and grey squares from the ps sheet xD But the rest is very good maybe add flow! Good job
It was not that bad, but not that good. The lighting is not that good and there is no real flow. Remember, nearly all people, even the one rocking at PS are sometimes reading tuts and still learning new techniques, you cannot learn enough. So it does not need to be an offensive.
