The pupil never dilates to the extent of pain or damage caused by too much light. Like with me, my pupil can get HUGE but I'm no more sensitive to light then I was before. But my sister, she's very light sensitive, so her pupil constantly looks like a tiny dot. The pupil knows just how much it can dilate
