    You technically can't be a (to the mainstream) dead genre of music.

    Emo is bands like Orchid, Antioch Arrow, Quicksand, etc.

    Emo/Power Violence. If you've never heard of that you don't know what emo is.

    Bands like Hawthorne Heights, Dead Poetic, The Used, Dashboard Confessional = Nu-Emo

    I have no idea what to call it because the gigantic one sided bang has taken it over.

    So whatever, call it emo.

    I wouldn't call Orchid emo. They are hardcore. Too bad they broke up...
