But then comes in the idea or any greater intelligent, in this plane of existance or in the next. The probally of that is lesser than have another intelligent race in the universe, but yet people still accept the fact that there is one, but don't accept extraterrestial beings. Its almost like if you believe in one, you have to have faith for the other. You can't pick and choose yours and others odds. Its almost like saying there is God but no Devil, in a logical sense that is. And this brings up another topic, Optimistic Pacifists. They think that you can achieve peace without war, but you can't. Like Pain for Pleasure, or Knowledge and Ignorance. You need one for the other, or you will not tell the difference. Like in my philosophy class, we talked about how, if your perfect, you don't know you are/were until you make a mistake. I dunno, Im rambling now lol
OK... the man who first re-wrote the bible is also the person who decided the date that we universaly all know... he did this by reading ancient texts and calculating how long each Roman emperor stayed/was in power and then added the total amount of years to get the date that we know today.. the only thing is.... he missed one ruler(can't remember the name) who was in power for 4 years but was never mentioned in the ancient text. So the guy who wrote the first bible got the date wrong.... yes thats right - he got the friggin' date wrong - so today at this very point in time - it is really the 7/11/2009 but when when the mistake was realised, it was decided that the date would remain the same as it would create confusion(or some narly sh-t like that) So when u think about it... If this dude got the date wrong - one of the most important things he should have gotten right and he stuffed it up - then how the hell can u believe in most of the bible I believe the bible, i really do, but i believe the REAL EVENTS that took place in the very original bible... The current version is a lulaby for kids - the true version is in the Hebrew bible( i think its hebrew :lol: ).... the first version actually speaks of metal crafts coming from the sky... no sh-t, i'm not bullsh-ttin'.... its 7 in the morning here and i havn't slept so i'm a lil' fuzzy on the precise details but its all fact When the already, a couple of times re-written bible was transported to England... the king at the time demanded to have this bible to be translated into english so that it could be understood.. but the words were not translated correctly and a completely different bible was born..... u know what bible that was..... have a guess It was the 'crapped-all-over' version... U wanna know where that very same... almost word for word bible is u lil' christian boyz n' girls? I'll tell you.... its under your pillow right now at this very moment... or on your nightstand/bedside table or where ever... By all means, please hear me out - i'm not trying to make u doubt your beliefs... not at all... thats the worst thing an indervidual can do.. all i'm saying is that your reading or have read a diluted bedtime story... Research it if u want...in alot of places - the Catholic Church hardly ever/never refer to the part about giants in ancient times... its almost like a cover up..

Challenging someone's beliefs is probobly the best thing you can do for someone. Your right, your obviously not trying to make people change their beliefs your insulting the very book (foundation) their beliefs are based on. They were translated and they found that the current version of the Bible is accurate with the Bible of over a thousand years ago.
First of all, I barely could understand one word Gruntkilla was saying. Second of all, there is a difference between insults and discussion, and sorry Grunt, I think you did cross that line. Yes there have been misinterpretations of the bible, and yes things may have gotten over, or under exxagerated, but saying that its completely and totally wrong, is actually, wrong. We will never know the full truths of anything, because of human nature and human mistake. Not until the exact moment our brain stops thinking, and our heart stops beating, will we ever know the answers. You need to look at this logically, how can we as a lesser being know of a superior entity? Its like, we know of 1D and 2D, but do we know anything of 4D? No. You may not understand what I'm saying, but all Im trying to say is that, until we as one reach that 4D (Heaven, or Hell, Sheol, Hades, Underworld etc. how ever you want to interpret this) We will not know of it, and its belongings. there is a difference between a strong-minded oppinion and an insult.. personally i don't think i crossed it but if i offended anyone hardcore then i appoligize... And no its not wrong... i bet even the original was mis-interpreted a lil'... And it is impossible to know what really happened.... lol, obviously, i agree with ya there...i'm talking about what was originally written is not depicted correctly in todayz version... but it is a fair call to say that most of it has been lost in the english version. Its like the party game 'chinese whispers', where you'r in a circle and one person starts off whispering into the next persons ear and as it gets passed on... the story completely changes when it gets back to the person who started it...
