Well, I think they'd be pushing their luck making more KOTOR games. They were stupid enough to hand KOTOR2 to Obsidian, despite their track-record for butchering trilogies (Neverwinter Nights 2 was abysmal compared to the original), and all they did was take the exact same game, add-in a few new abilities and a slight graphical update, and completely neglected to write a compelling story-line (Bioware have some of the best writers of any game studios). I think TOR could be Bioware pulling the series back in the direction they wanted.
I, personally, loved NN2. KOTOR II was good, not as good as KOTOR, I'll admit but even still. I'd rather they pulled it back with a straight RPG. I don't want to have to pay for Live just to play this game...
yeah, this game does look good, but im not sure if they'll be able to pull off the whole MMO thing, hopefully the fact that its such a different type of story to the main MMO competition, WoW, that it wont end up like Age of Conan or WAR, good games, but they couldnt keep up with WoW's fanbase who, myself included, eventually went back with the release of the expansion pack. Hopefully they manage to pull it off and the star wars fanbase can keep it up their as one of the bigger MMO's in the business, That being said, i will definitely be checking this game out, even if i have to pay monthly.
It'll probably be out 2nd quarter next year, not sure though. They probably have a lot of work to do still. About the trailer, it was by far my favorite of all at E3 this year. All the jedi action and ---- was sick.
actually they havent left out the thought of it being released on console. their is talk about it on the swtor site somewhere, it would most likely be seen on the PS3 because the PS3 has cross connection 'thing' lol i dont know what it would be called but its PS3 and PC users can be in the same game.
