Dvi To S-video

    my friend told me about a component, from which i could convert my dvi slot to a s-video, which my graphics card supports(i upgraded) but my computer doesnt have a s-video slot. i need to know please if such a cmponent exists and the price range and were i can get one.

    hmm, i looked on google and all my other sources. couldn't find anything...

    I think you can only go from VGA to DVI.

    I have seen monitors with DVI and/or VGA, but never with S-Video. S-Video is mostly used on tv's, not monitors...

    You want to use your tv as a computer monitor? Is that what you mean?

    i believe her computer monitor is dvi, and she wants to turn her monitor into a s-video.

    its only used for tv's, i believe. I think tv's are at a different frequency than computer monitors, so they used S-video to fix that... (my view of it, may not be exactly true)

    #2. yea i wanna use my tv as a monitor because i can watch dvds i dont feel like burning, that i made, through the TV, bigger picture

    you never know... some guys have girl pictures in their avatars, or guys have girl account names, it's confusing...

    most new gfx cards do have a s-video slot, or at least the ones i have seen.

    even the Geforce FX5500 has one, and thats kind of at the low end.
