Okay well I recently had a friend install a DVD dealy. And well I can't watch them. My friend told me I have to download a driver from EMachines, and even then it doesn't make it any easier. My computer is a: T-2341 the computer I believe my friend took the DVD dealy from was a: T-6420 I just need to know what to download from emachine. I don't need someone looking for creds doing a half ass job, I need someone who actually knows what their doing. 300 Credits to who shows me what I need to DL.
T6420 http://www.emachines.com/products/products.html?prod=T6420 seems its just a generic dvd drive from the product site. not sure but i think dvd drives can function using the drive provided by windows. but is ur problem reading the dvd or playing the contents of the dvd, cuz thats two different things if its playing the dvd, maybe you just need some codex or find free dvd player software i use this http://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomplayer_download.shtml
If you can't play DVD's, download a program called VLC Player. Do a search in google and you'll find it. VLC Player plays pretty much everything you throw at it.
yea vlc player works with just about anything... if you have problems with the dvd rom itself install the drivers d4rx provided
DVD players can use the generic windows driver without problems. just DL a program to play the movie with.
