Hi. For a while now my DVD drive seems to have been playing up. Whenever I insert a blank DVD to write data, it always says that the disk is full, even though it has 0 bytes used space and free space. The file system is RAW, which I think is odd as I'm sure it is supposed to be something else (but not 100%). It burns regular CDs with no trouble, and reads those perfectly too. Its just DVD's that dont work. Also, it seems to change icon in my computer. It starts as 'DVD-RAM Drive (D' and changes to CD-Drive (D when I insert a disk. I have tried various different brands of blank DVD but to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated.
are you positive you have a DVD-or+ RW drive? you may have a dvd/cdrw combo. if you do have a dvd burner go to the companies website and check and see if there are any driver/firmware updates.
Well it says DVD+ReWritable' on the front of the disk tray, so I am assuming that it is not just a reader. I'll check about the drivers now and update the post when I'm done.
