Wow, you guys did some stupid stuff, the stupidest thing I have done, was installing windows XP without activating it, went a whole week not knowing how to activate it, so I had to call microsoft because my serial code was wrong. ^.^

    Few weeks ago.

    I had to reinstall Windows XP(dont ask:S)
So I backed up all my stuff on my external HDD.
But I didn't take it out off the computer.
In windows setup i saw a HDD that I thought was not in my comp, so I was like WTF, windows sees another 80 GB?
    So I did format it...

99%..Then I thought F*CK, THAT WAS MY BACKUP!

30 GB of music, all gone.

I moved my brothers computer from one case to another. When we put it in the case, it didnt work. I thought I shocked the motherboard, so I bought a new one, but I learned that our hard drive was messed up, and there was nothing wrong with the motherboard, so I had to get a new hard drive, and I had a extra, perfectly fine motherboard.

My mother found the windows map on her laptop.
She asked me if I could make a .dll map, a .sys map and stuff.
She wanted to keep her laptop organised :S

LOL, when I was first starting to learn about computers, I deleted every single file on my hard drive that wasn't associated with a program. I figured they were just chilling ther taking up space. Keep in mind this was back in the day of Windows 3.* and things like .dll and .sys files weren't marked as anything. So I basically deleted every file on that hard drive short of .txt, .doc, .exe, and .bat.

Also this thread should be renamed to "Computer Confessions - Forgive us father for we have n00bed."

No offense to anyone..but, I think the dumbest thing I downloaded on my computer was KAZZA. As soon as I installed it and started searching for mp3..my so called Norton firewall lit up like a christmas tree.
