what is the worst mistake you made pertaining to computing(not OS choice or hardware etc.) I would have to say that last weekened when I tried to download Redhat fedora(linux) would have to be it. The OS is close to 2.5gigs. I downloaded 4ISOs for it, complete CDs almost. It took forever, nearly 2 and a half hours on my cable modem connection. Just today I found out the reason why I was having trouble installing it was because I downloaded the sourcecode. 2.5gigs for nothing, nopt to mention a few wasted CDs and a bit of sleep
ohh....snap* the worse thing i did was.... download a VIRUS.... will it was a mistake... nah j/k the worse thing that i did was dump a cup of water on my laptop....
The stupedist thing I did - three years ago- was a reformat for no reason whatsoever apart to prove to myself I could destroy all my files, and there wasn't any such thing as self control stopping me from doing it. Oh, the days of a thirteen year old...
I download peanut linux because it was small and wouldn't take up much hard drive space...And accidently formatted my C Drive...Lost Everything...
What the hell is edonkey. and I reinstall my driver, come to find out it was heh, 9 years old driver i reinstalled, crashed my graphics card.
mines realy stupid.. i downloaded this virus like simulation. it turned all the screen black and said the virus is spreading and named few random folders from my comp so i deleted these folders immidiatly (about 1/4 of my comp) and then i found out it wasent a real virus..
ha, i got that a couple years ago, scared the shit outta me one day i was going to reformat so i was putting all my music and shit on my external drive to save after reformat, but when i went thru the format process... i formated the wrong drvies, getting rid of basically a days work of moving files. gg
That's nothing. For some reason, I couldn't log in to my computer. The password, which I had entered "correctly", kept on coming up as incorrect. I thought someone might have hacked my computer, and changed it. So, I formatted my computer. Lost ~30GB of stuff. Later, I realized that I had kept putting in the wrong password.
um iunno prolly trusting nortan to keep my system safe yet it's not working lol but that was a year ago
Done a lot of stuff to be honest - bought a gf 5600 because one person said it was 'pwn' Bought the wrong motherboard (non returnable) Didn't have any thermal grease (luckily it still ran decent temps.. I ordered some, should come in soon) Uhhh... 'fried' my lanparty a couple times (good motherboard)
lol ah well when is was 12 i dll a virus and when i was 13 1 mo time thats all im really stupid so i dont understand y really dumb shyat like the shyat that happend to most of u happen to me ....
meh mines kinda stupid... i went to download a game, and tried to install it. Kept getting installation erros. So i went back to where i downloaded it and it said Linux only.... :/ ps. i can download 5gig on my dsl in 2 hours :lol:
