I decided to go back to xp. I had to reinstall a lot of drivers, and got most of them done. The one's that have still seems to show up on device manager that need drivers are PCI Device, Ethernet Controller, and the sound device. The sound device does not show up on device manager, but when i try to install any driver for it, the installation stops and says no device was found. I'm guessing I'm not installing the right stuff. I believe the audio device is Sound Blaster Advanced HD. I also am not sure what to do about my CD/DVD burner as far as finding out what driver i need to install... For the record, I have installed the chipset software. Hope you guys can help...

You have to find out what those are. Try hittin the dell site and getting exact specs so that we can find drivers for you.

as for the CD driver, dont' worry about it, basically all CD drivers are able to use the generic windows driver with very acceptable performance so it is a non-issue.
