Over contrasted, and the perspective is all warped due to the over-zealous use of the blur/sharpen tools. Text definately needs work, and it needs much better composition. More colour would be good, too, as it's very washed out.
I would find a better background, one without Kratos in it. Then I would make the render bigger. Then, maybe apply some small effects.
Kratos is another render, i put him there intentionally so he is looks at the action, but your focused on the dragons so he is out of focus and they are, that is why he is blurred. @ Skoll try holding up a sheet of paper to the side of your head and read it, then hold it up and look at the tv or something. the sheet of paper is out of focus because it isnt what your eyes are looking at. I was going for a photo type feel to it
I understand what you're talking about, and that's very imaginative indeed, but the foreground blur unfortunatly creates this unintentional focal point. It's hard to look at the dragons. I focused on the blurred gentleman first. I do appreciate what you were trying to do here, and how you explained it makes a lot of sense. The problem is the colors are really washed out and it seems like a very drab piece. let's think about it, dragons fighting, and they're known to be quite fierce, and yet it looks simply like they're just flying in circles around each other. Create that image for us, give us blood, give us fire, and liven the picture up. Give us motion, flow, explosions, we're the movie generation anyway! You're close, and if you liven up this picture it could be wonderful! Don't give up on it, please!!
i really appreciate the comment carrie, thats really the sort of feed back i need. have you any tips of doing those sort of effects and such? they really arnt my stong point i think this is the first tag that i have done that require that sort of work so its not somehting ive done before. Those are good subtle effects and really add some life to the picture. I'm impressed, you took a little advice and ran with it and imho improved the feel of your tag.
Could I have the dragons? First Ryuu used them, now you lol so I want them please V3 ftw, Kratos is overblurred though
