I've been seeinga lot of double or even triple posting lately, and then people edit them saying GR lagged or something. How is it possible? THere is a what... 30 second flood control? They would have to click it 3 times in 60 seconds to have three posts.

Is that really what's going on, or is it what I think they are doing? Just spamming "legally" to get their creds?

Mad Mav hit it on the head. Or as your posting, you refresh the page when it takes a bit to load or something, that often makes it post again.

It is like a glitch i think because if u click it once, it starts to load and then if you click it again it posts it again, i did that on other forums before....

Well, then people need to stop clicking twice

just be patient, or reload to see if your post has been postd.

Since you guys are using Invision, there is actually a section (I forgot where) that allows you to disable double posts. It will come up on the post as an addition and not a seperate post.

That should definitely be put into use then. BUT, that might stop some people from bumping which might not be a desirable side effect.

sometimes the server goes down for half a second and its posted the thread but your still on the reply screen so you click it again. Thats what sometimes happens.

Yeah, like one time I clicked add reply, and it didn't look like it went through cuz it was stuck and nothing happened. So, I went back to where I was going to post...and it was there. If I would've clicked add reply again, I probably would've gotten a double post. So yeah, sometimes it is lag.

There is a mod that stops this. I had it on my last forum. It makes it so a messages pops up if you try to double post.
You can edit the message to say whatever you want ^_^
