ok here is my go at it. i do not have a problem with the judging. howerver nomatter what is done to fiz the problems that other people are complaing about there is always people that are not happy and complain about s***. you can never make everyone happy . so people just need to grow up and deal with it if u dont like it dont enter and i get a code thing to when i try to view the attachment

I don't mind the sotw judging...The way I see it...You judge sigs on how good they look, not how hard they made it for themselves...Splash did an EASY thing...Anyone could've done that, but heckyea it looks good, that's why he got the votes...A bunch of other people just make it hard for themselves by trying to add all this stuff in that doesn't need to be there, and yea, it's original, but it's like...not so pretty...

that's just my 2 cents...Not trying to start an argument or anything, I don't care that much because it's just a sotw competition, but w/e...

Well, I do agree that they pick what looks good, but at the same time, what kind of image does that show for future ones? "If you can make it look like you did a lot then you deserve to get in?" Meh, just my two cents

 

i think the first 3 winners were chosen correctly
just splashes seemed a bit out of place
but evyerone makes mistakes sometimes

If you are going to have the 200 posts minimum rule enforced, then enforce the rest of them.

THE RULES
1. Your entree must be made by you and only you.
2. only one entree per person (edit your post)
3. Your entree must be within the set theme.
4. Animation is allowed
5. Flash (.swf) sigs are not allowed.
6. you can use : jpg, gif or png
7. keep filesize below 501kb
8. your forum username must appear on your entry,
and it must be the "main" name, not in small bitmap tucked away in the corner
9. you must have over 200 posts to enter!
10. nothing but entrees in the entree thread
any other post will be deleted and warning level will be increased
and your entree disqualified
11. MUST enter sig as an attachment and ONLY as an attachment, if not uploaded as attachement it means instant disqualification
12. if you enter you agree to the general rules

8 gets abused every SOTW. Names are way to small or are faded/brushed to be almost invisible. Some are leaving parts of the their GR name out (exluding those with none alpha characters due to font support). One example of that is in the current set render SOTW, left almost half of their GR name out. Also there are post in the entries thread without uploading an entry.

I can't post because of my post count but yet micro sized or unreadable names are ok.
