Dont Agree With Sotw Judging? Post Here

if you post here that you dont agree with the outcome of a SOTW or
how the SOTW is being judged you will be expected either

1. to continue entering the SOTW but you will not spam your dissagreements in any thread in the SOTW section.

or

2. to not enter another SOTW as long as you dont agree with the SOTW rules.

in both cases if you do or do not enter but still spam your dissagreements concerning the SOTW voting in any thread of the forum other then this one right here the possible consequences are : -rep, ban from SOTW, babysitting, temp or perm ban.

set of rules is posted in the initial post of each Entree thread, by entering you agree to obey the rules.

 

I think the argument itself was plain retarted. If you don't like it, leave. Nobody asked the people to stay here, nobody needs them to if there going to complain and groan over something.

I have a siggestion,
ur site is very active and has alot of members, way more than other sites.

what u need are experienced judges, and more of them..10, maybe more.

maybe make applications.

im going to state my opinion:
i think the judges of sote made a bad choice this time around.

well either way u need more judges.
I've heard people say that it doens't take skill or ability to judge a sig, but it does.
people new and old to sigs alike, if the judge doesn't have alot of experience in sigs then he wont understand the magniture of skill it took to make a certain sig or the magnitude of imagination, meaning he is more likely to go along with the trend

if u having 2 judges means any ind of sig can win, no matter how much or lack of skill there is.
the more judges there are, the better the chance of a good sig will win. A few judges may see something in a sig others overlook.

well u dont need a mass number of judges, but surely u will need quality over quantity if its going to be the other way around then i need alot of judges

 

Well personally I dont agree with the judging this time around but hey what can you really do about it.

Just one thing I would like to point out though. G70 you said it you're self in the rules thread 'then a majority of staff puts up 5 to 6 nominations in order of best first'. So what your telling me is that 2 people is the majority of staff at Gamerenders? Some how I doubt this, and if it was the case that nobody was on to judge or whatever then the judging should have been postponed and people would have understood.

G70, I think the blame can partially be put on us this round. I can say that I unintentionally missed the SOTW voting, but that was a bit of an emergency. Regardless, that is no excuse, and I assure you all that the next SOTW will be cleaner. But what I ask is that you do not question the judge's call. As in professional sports, the referee's call is the final call. There is no arguing with it. Naturally, everyone has different views on "good", and in the free society we live in, people openly express their opinions. But, you must keep your opinions your own. By stating how "unfair" the judging is, you are forcing your opinions on other people, as well as doubting the integrity of the staff.

So I ask of you, please have faith in the staff. And if you do not like how Gamerenders is run, this is a free world. You come here under no vice. You can leave if you so choose. But I promise that the next SOTW will be better.

 

I dont agree with the juding, the sigs look the same every time around, same style, same everything.

u should have posted that in the SOTW discussion where it really needs to be heard.

no one here has yet to flame the judges. im sure people will come and do so but it hasnt happened yet.

 

Just would like you to know that in professional sports even sometimes the referee's call gets questioned and then it goes down to the organisation to sort things out. So I would restate that if I was you.

 

savage if you dont have a problem then why post in this thread? other then to talk crap... no ones whining we just dont agree with the judging or "Descision" since theres only 2 freaking judges on a forum of 17k members that is horrible. this happend last week and this week dont get me wrong the winners and runner ups have some good sigs but those ARE NOT the best pick.... g70 have this plain smooth sig liking cause i can see it in there sigs... wich is why we need wayyy more judges with different styles to decide upon a winner. THERE! (and im more then happy to become a judge just let me know)

sigs, these days lack originalality all the sigs i see look the same

so maybe what the jugdes are looking for are unique sigs...

so, dont be mad

i feel that brokens sig at least deserved mention this week {halflif} as it looks like a lotta time was put into it and it was a unique render compared to others used

just my opinion i dont disagree i just wanted to say he desrved some mention

and i dont really like blakc labell woods sig

This weeks SOTW winner wasnt good at ALL. I strongly disagree with the judging.
