Does Anyone Here Have An Alcoholic In The Family?

I just wanted to start a little discussion here. My father is an Alcoholic and it's gotten to the point where he is a pathological lier about it. He always says he doesn't drink anymore, yet he continues to do so....I'm only 14...but when this really hurt me was when i was between, i'd say 8-12.....Can anyone here relate w/ me?

 

Wow that sucks for you, i'd get your mom to send him to rehab

 

We can't get him to go to Rehab....but he has already lost custody of me...my mom has full custody now....

Yeha me too man. my mum chucked my dad out when i was little he used to shout at her and i used to always hear it. hed always be drinking. but ive got over it. hope you will too man

just tell your dad if he keeps drinkin you will have nothing to do with him that might shake him up a lil and he might try to stop for your sake

 

iam alcoholic well only on certain months

 

I had a similar problem, just hang in thier and let him figure out himself. You cant change a strong-willed alcoholic

I myself don't have an alcoholic in my family but I know a few friends who do so I can somewhat relate to you.

Honestly, the best thing to do is try talking to him about it; tell your mom how it makes you feel.
But don't be suprised if this doesn't change his views on alcohol because it's hard to change an alcoholic.

 

I havent got an alcohloic in the family but My sister,s boyfriend is an alcohlic i caught him pee pee on my frontroom carpet once when he slept over.but thats what alcohol does to you.

An hope it all works out for u guys man must hard goin thru all that at a yopung age too.
