I believe that all the evil stuff that happens is a test, life is a test sent by God, to see who's gonna pass or not. No one knows. Its not like someone died went to heaven, came back and confirmed that you go to Heaven or vice versa. Its all based on belief and religon, if you feel you do then you do, if not then you won't. I personally feel there is a life after death where my soul shall live in peace.

Leo I liked your story, in fact I repped you for it. I don't understand one thing. Heat and light are phenomina that can be physically measured, but how is good or evil measured? Can it only be measured by absolute evil? If so, what is absolute evil, Satan? How evil is absolute evil?
No, I'm a non-beleiver. One thing I don't get...when a child dies, his parents say 'It was his time to go'. 'Jesus wanted him back'. Why is that? Why is Jesus so selfesh that he wants a little boy or girl to die so he can be with him? Doesn't seem all that 'saint' like to me. And also, i just find it funny how when a child dies (well that part isn't funny) and the parets explain that it was gods plan. And then they go back to church, and worship the man that supposidly, and essentially, murdered their child. Seems abit strange to me, but I suppose i have to have 'faith'. God needs to find more helpful things to do. Like, cure HIV, Cancer, Malaria, any of those would be a great improvement.
It all depends on the person, personally I think it depends on how evil the person's heart is. Example: Somebody kills another person, I may think its common, you may think it's the most horrible thing on Earth. That would mean that you have a kind, good heart. And I have an evil-driven one. Edit:: @ Atreyu, Alright well think of it this way, everyone no matter how atheist they are have faith in something, you can't deny it. Atheist people have faith that they don't believe in any God. Christian's have faith in Jesus Christ. Jews have faith in they're God and so forth. I like to think of faith as the essence of the soul. And they go back to pray because they believe that everyone at time will be together in Heaven.
