being an athiest myself, i was about to post that exact same point. religion is more of a mythological guide to help people with their morals and consolation.
i believe in heaven and hell but i still have some doubts on the whole thing cuz what if there really isnt anything after death everything just ends.

if i go to heaven, ill land there on a big pile of weed. if i go to hell ill land there on a big pile of weed, either way, ill be fine. p.s. heaven and hell? not in my opinion. Hell is earth. Heaven is death....simple.

I believe its a never ending sequence, die, reborn, die, reborn, die, reborn, so on... Reincarnation makes the most sense to me...
most reglions says if ur not in that reglion u will go to hell, and also no one have more than one religion, therefore everyone is going to hell.....
well it depends if you belieave in God just accept him in your life etc. and you'll go to heaven if it doesnt work then it was worth a try
oh and your not going to hell if you didnt accept him (God) that is like the biggest lie and it doesnt mean your going to heaven
well as many ppl know god makes miracles and stuff when my brother was little he had the bottom of his foot was striaght it dint have a curve on the botton of his foot like regular ppl have well one day he went to church and some guy prayed for him for the bottom of hid foot to get a curve...so after he finniished praying my nrother looked at his feet and they both had curves so no longer he fell from bein unbalanced tahts about it.............if god was evil why wood he do that? im christian
Well youve asked a question that cant scientifically be proven its all about a matter of self beleif. You either beleive or you dont it cant be anymore simpler than that, its a question of faith. I beleive in both obviously I'd love to go to heaven but you never know.

What are the causes of religion and what effect has it had on present society? Any true pervayer of history cannot deny the role religion has played in the comming of society from the ages of an uncivilized society. Religion has allowed for humanity to reach its current point as it brought out order out of disorder, rules to the unruly (giving them a reason to follow the rules), which is required of any goverment based society. So, there remains one question we must ask ourselves. Is God our greatest creation or are we his? Personally I believe the latter, which I can allocate on if needed.
