    .:. Public Voting .:.</span></span>

After a long list of complaints regarding our Sig of the Week setup, we've decided to alter it slightly. The schedule of SOTW is the same, with only one slight difference. While the staff votes as normal, a public poll will be setup with all the entries allowing the public to vote. The top 5 entries in the poll will get the following:
    • Top Entry = 5 points
    • 2nd spot = 4 points
    • 3rd spot = 3 points
    • 2nd spot = 2 points
    • 1st spot = 1 points
These points will be added into the Staff voting, as if a single global moderator or adminstrator voted. Giving you, the public, a small chance of voting for the winner every week. This will be a trial of sorts, to see how it goes and if we can handle the strain...so if it doesn't go well, do not worry.

Your GameRenders name: We've made a slight alter to the name rule. You can now put your partial name or intials on your signature, making it easier on you. As long as its clearly, and easily visible..we will accept it.

For example: If my GameRenders name were BackFromThePast, i could instead put 'BFTP' and the Sig of the Week staff will accept it.

<span style=\'color:yellow\'>The final result is just that: final. Any bitching or ffing will just annoy staff earning you a warning, tempban or at best a couple of days babysitting
    .
Be sure to check out the new, improved rules for the entire system being posted now. If you have any questions, please post them in this thread.

    Thanks for your time,
    GameRenders Staff

New rules sound good so far... BTW the link for general sotw rules brings up a 404 File Not Found.

    Just a small question.

Does it help when people say they might change their entries?

flipn0tic - these are all the new rules, i think..unless i forgot a major one. We've always tried to keep it simple and sweet, and thanks for the URL check. I'll get on that.

Emerald - As long as its not a *reserve* post, its ok... meaning the person posted without putting in a signature. Since you can't change it after the thread is locked, that creates no problem for us.

Quick Question, those who got accepted as Prem. Tut Voters but at the same time aren't staff, are they eligable for voting in SOTW? (My guess is prob no)

Another small question. Will we be able to see the poll results during the sotw? It kind of ruins it

No, UV Moose - not even 'community' staff votes in Sig of the Week. Thats for Global Moderators & Adminstrators(who are the only ones not able to enter Sig of the Week.)

Yes, you will be able to see the poll standings after you do one of two things...

    1) vote in it

    2) null your vote in order to see the standings.
