    My computer had a serious virus so we had to wipe it.
    When I was re-installing Windows 98 it asked me if I wanted to keep my devices, I said no and now all i got is 640x800 and 16-bit colour. It used to have up to 1280x1028 and 256 colour, how do I get it back?

    I also have another PC (the one I am on now) which has the devices I want, can I put them on my other PC?

    What are these devices you're talking about? If it's drivers for parts like your graphics card, go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and select custom, then see if there are any hardware updates.

    You either can do the above or download the drivers from the manufacturer's site

    OR

    If you got driver CDs then install them :)

    That resolution is default when a PC is formatted because its got no GFX card drivers for its full potential :)

    Do you know the name of your graphics card?

    Ill search it , download it and give it to you?

    Ati 128 graphics by rags, and ita supposed to work on a Windows 98 Second edition system
