Work on DA is not ripped nearly as often as you think. Yes, we'veh ad multiple cases of it happening here on GR, and you know what? We catch them all. DA's safe, and if your honestly that worried about being ripped. (And let's be honest, chances are, nobody's going to rip you) then you stick a copyright on your work.
I think majority of people there have the maturity of 12 year olds. people get angry when you say something bad about their work even though it's downright terrible. I followed a drama where a pretty well known member who always got "good job" comments on DA posted her work on cgsociety and got mad when people there tore her work apart with harsh criticism. She went back to DA and cried that people on cgsociety where horrible people.
