I made my very first vector art of shakira and I was wondering if i could post it on DA without it being taken down by copyright issues. Because I have seen tons of vectors that are copyright images such as shakira's album cover vecotred and they never get taken down. So if I vector something no matter what the image is can i post it on DA without it being taken down?

I posted a vector up on devintart and it got removed
because of the background. For some reason you can't have
a copyrighted background on a vector. Which I think is a stupid
    rule...

How the hell is it a stupid rule?
If it's copyrighted you don't use it, end of.
