Deviantart, Importand Notice

    If you click "submit" on your DA account, you'll find that there is a new "Submission Agreement". Lots of legal wording and phrasing. Some of you will read it and understand it, others will not. Let me briefly explain what is happening. Under this new submission agreement, DA will essentially own all of your artwork, present submissions, past submissions, and future submissions. They can do all of the following without seeking your permission first: 1) Market your work 2) Change your work (not just image size either) and 3) Sell your work.

    This is an outrage coming from a once proud artwork community that's sole ideal was on the criticism and growth of it's members through the criticism. I am asking you to support our cause to have the submission agreement rewritten and sign the online petition in the link above.

    I stopped using DA long time ago.

    Thanks for the notice though, time to delete away (not that I have good stuff in their though haha)

    That's all bull----.

    1) They need the rights for enlarging the thumbnails
    2) They do get the rights to the piece, but why in hell would they ruin the whole community, just for selling a few pieces. It's all bull----, everyone has got it all wrong.

    So don't go remove all youre stuff, because that's just ----ing stupid.

    You're so wrong. In contrast, DA seems to be capitalist at best now and I can put it down: THEY.WILL.MARKET.YOUR.WORK.TO.GAIN.MONEY.

    Signed, this needs to be stopped. Funding can be established via other means, using its members is just wrong.
