If you have got permission to render the image from the original creator: You may cut out the image!

If the image is royalty free (like most gaming images, especially from gaming publishers): You may cut out the image!

If you have not got permission and the image is not royalty free: You may not cut out the image!

If you submit to DA there is a rule that all artwork can be used by any other artists. So if you submit to DA you can't begin a legal prosses that someone used for example a render because you agreed with the rule that it can be used by any other artist.

That's what i read. I can be wrong though(don't want to search it up :P) So i think you can just render DA pics.
But i always ask permission. that's just loyalty between designers

This is the internet...people will always rip, and how would you know if you "riped" a pic from DA maybe the pic is posted on a other site and there is no way for a single person to go thru all the stuff on DA. And there isnt very easy to contact people asking for permission, people who are inactive etc...

My personal view is that its okey to "rip" renders aslong yyou dont rip the whole pic, and doesnt claim that you've made it. If your pic looks original, I say you have only sampled others and thats the beauty of Internet people share and inspire others.

Depends on which brushes and who made them, if the name of the apr file isn't changed, then the authors name should automatically be there, and therefore you can find and contact that person, asking him, furthermore showing him your work, I'm pretty sure they'd let you use their brushes.

    Being polite has its advantages.

    :)
