    press super(microsfot windows key) + D, no need for the shortcut anymore... takes even less effort using the shortcut key combo.

    This is one way of doing it, I'm sure there're others.

    Go to My Computer

    Click on Local Disk (c:), or whatever drive your desktop is on.

    Click on Documents and Settings

    Click on your Windows User Logon Name

    Now there is a folder called "Desktop". Right click it and select Copy, minimize your windows to your desktop and "Paste As Shortcut" to your desktop.

    Then, drag that folder to Quick Launch.

    Actually, that doesn't actually show the desktop, it just opens up the desktop folder..

    A quicklaunch-like-way to show desktop is to rightclick on a blank spot on the taskbar, and click on "Show The Desktop".

    Found out how! TEG Comes to the rescue again!

    Open Notepad and enter the following text:

    [Shell]
    Command=2
    IconFile=explorer.exe,3
    [Taskbar]
    Command=ToggleDesktop

    Save the new file as Show Desktop.scf then drag and drop the icon on the Quick Launch bar or whatever location you want the shortcut to appear.

    Why don't you just make a short cut of the Show Desktop program?

    I should be in a folder like this.

    C:\Documents and Settings\PUT_NAME_HERE\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

    It should be in that folder. Here is a download like to download the file that should be in that folder, if it is not.

    Code:
