Hey everybody, my name is Tucker, and I have a problem. A month or two ago, I can't remember when it actually started, one day I boot up my computer, log into my XP account and my background is just a solid color. I think, "Hmm, odd." and proceed to to desktop properties screen to change it, but whenever I try to, nothing happens, it just stays the color I choose, I'm pretty sure you're all aware of what I'm talking about, and if not, open up your desktop properties thing on a windows comp and you'll see in the bottom right in the Desktop properties tab, Color: then a little scrolly thing with colors. When I end explorer.exe, it shows the original background that I had, but only when I do that, and I can't really do much with explorer not running. Anybody know what to do?
then try the routine virus and spyware checks. if nothing comes up, then do a repair install. I can assist you if it comes to that.
