I have to do an assignment for school:
I have to create a movie poster, but I don't have the faintest idea where to start, or wich rules/guidelines I should follow.

I am fairly skilled with Photoshop, and I'm a fast learner.

So I'm asking here now if someone has any tips for me.

    Thanks in advance.

My best advice is just take a look at the ones online, see how they're laid out, and if there are any specific guidelines that they follow. Also be sure to incorporate the rule of 3's into it as well.

    They're all basically the same.

Picture in the middle, well, have a picture that takes up the whole document but darken out the edges. Stick the title in the center, but lower down + a random quote from the film going across the top. Stick random names + companys in small text at the bottom + maybe some small fake quotes with ratings.
