my mate convert from a muslim from this, cos he thinks muslims blow things out of proportion, wow its a cartoon get over it ffs, we see jesus been taken the piss out of everyday, anyway im glad the the london and uk police department are arresting them and sendin them to prision, and that geeza who dress up as a suicide bomber is gonna get at least 5 years, stupid twat.

 

your friend is a douche..although he has his own views..i have my own opinions..someone shouldn't convert just because they think there religion blows things out of proportion...its not the religion..its people.

I don't get what the big deal is, the cartoon included more than just one religious character in the picture, not just muhammed, or however you spell it. What I hate most is that these people jump on these opputunites just to riot, they come here into our country, and don't get a job (applys to the ones i'm mad at) they live on benefits and claim they have some disability and can't work, so we are giving them free housing, free cash and a free car and they can't respect our policies? I don't know how this can be justified that people can shout all over a city they will rip out your heart and slit your throat. Thats a threat and therefore terrorism so shouldn't they be put in prison? No we can't because they say it's discrimination and against human rights. I don't think it's denmark who need to learn respect, if you don't like it you don't look at it SIMPLE AS THAT!

Obviously i'm not speaking of Muslims in general but there are some out there that match the above.

 

2 reasons.

1. We don't know how he looks, so it is out of respect you don't depict him.

2. In his time, he did not want people to draw him because he did not want to be idolized as something higher than what he is. A messanger of Allah's message. He was humble. So we respect it by not drawing. (pretty sure this is right)

Yes the reactions were over the top, but we aren't talking about that. We are discussing should freedom of right, be held as higher importantce than something much much more important like religious beliefs.

U guys are right, some ppl make fun of Jesus and so on, but I have never seen one in the newspaper, and it's not ppl from another belief, us Muslims respect Jesus because he is a prophet...

Everyone has a right to their opinions. Dont flame anyone for what they believe or say or this will be closed. I believe we have a right to voice our views as much as anyone else, and to not be bashed/flamed for it. If you dont agree with what someone says, explain it to them nicely, not calling people names. I am a Muslim - Our Holy Book states that committing suicide is forbidden, threatening people and making them suffer is not of the right but of the wrong

These so called Muslims I believe not even close to being Muslim

Well to put things in perspective - Jesus is out Prophet - We have not made a image of Jesus in our Mosques or anywhere even other Prophets like Moses and Muhammed[PBUH]

However Christians have made images of Jesus that is 1 of the reason why Christians dont really care what type of image other people make

Us as Muslims dont recreate important and religious icons due to respect - Freedom of speech is valid but has its limits

Im not saying get rid of it - Its just that it sparking like a WWIII sorta thing which i dont want at all and many others who dont either
