so, if it's 2FPS slower then it's not better than XP is it? and G80 drivers are WORSE then radeon and G70 drivers. can we agree that in a year Vista will be the way to go but today it isn't? EDIT: for the record, I WILL be getting Vista 64bit in the near future so i can take advantage of my 4GB RAM. XP can only really address 3.12GB so ehh
2fps is nothing...if it was 10-15fps maybe but honestly 2fps We can agree in a years time it will be worth it..but its worth getting now aswell
well, when your'e saying the best, that typically means best performance and highest image quality. vista at this moment has neither. that will change in the mid-term future, but not today. and again it's WORSE with GeForce 8 series cards. Their drivers are buggy on XP and in vista it's worse.
So, im thinking to change this to CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 GPU: BFG Tech BFGR88768GTXOC2E GeForce 8800GTX 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814143093 RAM: mushkin eXtreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) with EPP Profile Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820146108 So overall its about 2360$
