Yeah, its not too uncommon for them wanting to stay in jail because it has better conditions than they would have on the outside world.
it did not say that in the old testament. but it was practiced by the jews, there is a diference. and yes the bible does say that, but it also says "let vengence be mine" so that personw ill in time will receive what they are entitled to
"Vengence is mine, saith the Lord." I know the verse quite well. It isn't even the whole verse, but whatever. Again, like I said he gave the responsibilty of punishing criminals and the death penelty, to the government. I'll find the reference later.
