Well about the money and food thing, It costs more to kill a person than to keep them in jail. I say just bring back the gladiators! But more seriously, i say let them live but not get out of jail. It is worse to have spent 40+ years in jail then to die flat out.
Forget rehab. If you murdered someone on purpose for a dumbass reason or no reason, I don't want you in my neighborhood EVER. The only way murderers should be allowed out is if: 1) Accident 2) Good Reason (ie. They raped your mother, you get pissed and kill him. 2 year max for that IMO. Jury will usually understand) or Abusive husband and only way out is killing him. Stuff like that. If you murder someone for no reason, you have no credibility. You can't be trusted and you're crazy.
So, everyone who murder's had no chance of realizing what they did wrong? That's bull----.... I can just as easily sit here and say "once a drug addict, always a drug addict" It is possible to rehabilitate people. Don't belive me? Ask any warden or prison guard, 90% of them belive in rehabilition and that is why they are working there.
Sure they can realize what they did wrong, but that doesn't matter. The punishment, in my opinion, should be death. Punishment...consequences for a wrong doing.
Ok u want barbaric heres someting, I do believe that if anything u should get life in prison but if u do get death i think u should get executed the same way u murdered somone, if u stick a thing of dynamite up somones ass and lite it thats how u should die...
If you murder someone for no reason, there is obviously something mentally wrong with you. You can't fix that.
well theres alot of factors involved. for example 1.you say eye for an eye is in the bible. what happens if u aint religious lol 2.if ur still not old enough to really know the consequences and you kill someone then no you shouldnt get the death penalty, not even life in prison 3.if its an accident then no not even life in prison is deserved 4. self defence of course you dont deserve death in return for defending urself 5.besides tht some people would be better off rotting in jail, like i.e osama bin laden 6.everyone deserves a second chnce. unless u were like brutal, i mean if u like planned the murder out and was waiting to do it then yea u deserve death
It may say "an eye for an eye" in the old testement, but in the new testement Jesus is quoted to have said "all that eye for eye stuff is complete BS!"
what if you kill somebody by accident? lets say you park your car on a steep driveway and and rolls down and kill somebody.. then what?
thats good, I like that thinking. Someone who kills intentionally should be killed or make a life sentence for life, not like 20 years and they can go free
the bible does not say an eye for an eye, it says turn the other cheek. An eye for an eye was a babolonian principle which was practiced by the jews in biblical times but Christ denounced the practice.
Okay, I think it's funny when people say that. The Bible does say, turn the other cheek. However, for each person and a total government are two diffrent things. The Bible does say an eye for an eye. The Old Testement was not denounced by Christians, or it wouldn't be in the Bible. When you kill someone, you deserve to be killed, the Bible says that. So it's what I believe.
one, stop bringing up god/the bible...not everyone has your same beliefs as someone has already said. Two, i do believe in the death penalty within reason. If someone kills another person with malicious intent, then i would say kill them, but if it was not on purpose (car accident, neglect [when someone forgets, not purposely ignore] etc) then i would say send them to jail/prison/penn. Also i don't think the death penalty should be given unless undeniable proof is given.
I am against the death penalty. Living the rest of your life in a prison with no chance of ever getting out is much more of a punishment then death.
One, I don't much care your opinion about the Bible. It's where I get my beliefs from and I will bring it up as one of my reasons for many other topics. Besides, he brought it up the last time.
