oh.. sry. I meant to me, Deathnote is the first anime that has BOTH anime episodes and manga episodes AND ALSO a LIVE action movie. Most anime just have anime and manga, but no live movie. I havent seen other anime this popular.

Are you sure about this? I guess you never heard of Saikano then... It also has an anime, a manga and a live-action movie.... Death Note is really awesome btw!
Death Note is a very good anime/manga/movie. The second movie Death Note: The Last Name was actually just recently released on the 3rd. The first movie will be released with english subs on the 27th, this is the Hong Kong version not an official released in the US. There are currently rumors of a US version of the movie. You can find the first movie avalible for download in its raw form on a few sites, but I will warn you now the file is 1.2 gig. As far as episodes are concerned the first 5 have been subbed, while the 6th is currently out in raw format. The anime also has been officially licensed for a North America release, there currently isn't any word on who has the license for it. The manga as I'm sure most Death Note fans know is 12 volumes long with 108 chapters. There is also a 13th volume that supposidly has an alt ending along with other goodies. I will say this much about the manga I loved yet at the same time hated the ending.
Death Note is def. one of the most known underground manga/animes. I wouldn't say its mainstream like Naruto or Bleach but its getting there.
