I am looking at hard drive encryption, and I think the one I want is Datalock (see below pc mag review): http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2371748,00.asp Looks really good, with the main features being easy of use, works as advertised and has great phone support. It doesn’t seem that the data encryption in Windows 7 is very good. Is that true? Does anyone know if Datalock runs faster then Windows 7 encryption? http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en-us/cdn/2010/search/datalock.htm
Truecrypt seems to be standard these days (it's free). If you use a Quadcore and encrypt with say AES, dont worry about performance.
