First in a while...

 

Color is odd and doesn't make any sense.

 

The concept does not work. The pen tooling is very poor \ random, and the colors are random.

 

while the background seems low quality, i like the simplicity and the colors (regardless of the dark schemes dead space should have)

 

Work on your pen tooling, and also the choice of color is just weird. Try using pale colors and maybe play with the layer properties.
