    Photoshop Version CS

In this tutorial you will learn how to render an image with the Pen Tool opposed to the eraser, extraction tool, etc...

    1. Open desired picture you would like to cut...

    2. Select the Pen Tool...

    3. Make sure settings are as so...

    4. Zoom in on the image to around 600% and begin to outline the image with the pen tool as close as possible to the section you want to cut-out...

NOTE: The closer you get the less choppy the image will look when back to 100%. (Every small box the pen tool makes is known an Anchor Point)

    5. After you get around the whole image, reconnect the pen tool with the first anchor point you've created.

It should look like this with a solid grey line around the image you want to cut-out...

    6. Click the paths tab next to your "History". If you do not have a path's tab, click Window>Paths.

    7. Rightclick the only path that should be in that screen known as Work Path. After you've right clicked, select the option "Make Selection...".

Adjust settings as so... Then click ok...

And you have selected your Render! just drag it into another document with the move tool!
    Cred Or Reps Please! :)

Dude...Are you Rival from GFXGamers.net? If you are I'm sorry for accusing you of this but otherwise ur ripping his tutorial:

    http://www.gfxgamers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=349

Only thing you did was take out the last 3 steps but everything else is exactly identical to his tut, word for word, image for image.

If he were Rival then wouldn't it make sense that he post the whole tutorial? He wouldn't have anything to gain/lose by cutting out the last 3 steps of his own tutorial

maybe he thought the end was pointless as everybody knows how to paste it in a different file..... dont jump to conclusions without asking him. contact a mod if it makes you angry

Seeing as he hasn't told as that he IS Rival.. if he posts back and tells us he is, and/or gives evidence, then maybe we'll be sobered, but seeing as he hasn't....

I don't think anybody's angry about this (except for the person who made the tutorial if they were to see this thread). But any person who writes tutorials knows not to jump to any conclusions and assume that readers know a certain thing, therefore it's Ok to leave said part out. Not to mention you should think about ur writing audience (n00bs to GFX, intermediate ppl, etc.) and that factors into not assuming that ur readers know some of the stuff you think is standard

chances are if he did make this, he would have responded trying to prove otherwise.
