Ctrl+alt+del Command

    for some reason my control alt delete hotkey command doesnt work anymore i just shut off my computer last night to cool it down some and it doesnt come up anymore anyone have a solution?

    heres my system specs if you need it:
    Microsoft Windows XP home edition sp2
    Compac Presario 061
    BIOS Rev.3.15
    AMD Sempron 3000+
    1024 RAM
    Direct x 9.0c


    if you need anything else just tell me

    Go to your desktop and press them if that doesn't work the try searching for it.

    right mouse click on the blue bar on the bottom (the one with the start menu but dont right click the start button) and goto task manager that should open it

    wish that worked but it didnt....dont know whats up with it....

    go to run

    type in gpedit.msc

    go to: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Ctrl Alt Del Options > Remove task messeger, and assure that it is 'not configured'

    Make sure tskmanager.exe hasn't been deleted from the /windows/ folder.

    that's not the ctrl-alt-delete i thought you were talking about. cool people know what i mean

    Look in /windows/ and see if u can find tskmanager.exe, if you do open it and tell me if theres any error.

    If you are just trying to get to your task manager trying pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc that will bring you there as well.

    Hope this helps, if you haven't already figured it out.

    try ctr+shift+escape

    if that doesn't work go for a repair/upgrade install.

    there are some virsus's that disable your taskmanager so you can not end its process, so this is an option.
