Doing photography stuff, I'm in love with the changes. CS4 was mostly about improving workflow, and they did an amazing job. Saves me huge amounts of time. Even the clone stamp thing saves me at least an hour of work per major piece. Adjustment layers are better, processes are faster, the way the files are handled and displayed is much improved. They fixed little querks that CS3 had. Only complaint I have is that one more step has been added to dragging and dropping layers from one canvas to another. And the whole "exceeding layer group nesting limit", which I did yesterday. Had to break my group into two, bring them separately, and then fix them.

Anyone who tells me CS3 is better is, no offense, an amateur who doesn't know that much about Photoshop. The faster the better, and CS4 makes things go way faster (I have to switch back and forth depending on what computer I use at school, so I'm reminded of the difference fairly regularly).

So who wants to buy me CS5 when that's released?

Actually, while we're on the point.
How do you reset your layout completely in CS4? I ------ed mine up, and can't really get it back to normal.

Meh, CS2 is good enough for weaksauce me. I'm not like you fancy "designers" with "workflows" and "photographs" last time I made up a 9 letter word was just now...weaksauce.

    P.S. I may be a LITTLE after-drunk =]

Well I had cs3 before, and now I have cs4... I have both of them, and to tell you the truth I personally like CS4 way more than CS3. Why? Well because, CS4 saves a lot of space, when you are working with a piece, like you can have to files right next to each other, that tab option, its more 3d friendly, same with the tablets, and I just like the layout it has. All in all, what I don't like is that you can't erase from the gradient maps, or I probably don't know how to do it.

Don't erase, use layer masks! Hooray!

I've used the eraser twice in the past year.

I'll give that a shot, I've never really learned to use layer masks, everyone always tells me to use them. >.>

But I am barely making a comeback into getting back into graphics in general, but thanks for the heads up man.

I'm using CS3 and I didn't think CS4 was that much better? But it sounds like it is.
