ATM I just downloaded a patch and now the game wont open ive reinstalled ect. Is anyone else having the same problem?
If your version is legit, then I'll point to the update Ever since the update 2 days ago, most people have been experiencing problems which still stand today, and will do until the next update, problems include, wont start up, free wallhack lol, restarts pc's, major lag and many more which I can't remember. You will just have to wait for the next update which hopefully wont be too long and will actually be an update worthwhile
Yea, the new patch is really ----ing gay... It lags REALLY bad, and sometimes when I walk far away from some boxes I can see through them It's really ----ing gay
Of course its legit and It was working 20 minutes ago then I got to play and it says "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at a later time." The game wont even start up for me but my friends are playing it. Any help ? I had the current patch but a new one dled for me today and it must've screwed somthing up.
Ah yes that happened to me, I just clicked "Ok" and there was another window from steam, where it was "Validating DOD:S files" which took a few mins. Btw, for those who are having lag issues, it maybe because for those who understand, Valve locked cl_interp at 0.01 To try and resolve the problem, put your settings on lowest or atleast lower them by clicking the advanced button on the video page in options. Also try opening console and typing between: rate "10000 to 20000" cl_cmdrate "30 to 100" cl_updaterate "30 to 100" All is fine for me, another tip is click Stop Refreshing on your favourite server list, as that now auto's like every 5 secs causing lag. Note: To enable console follow these steps starting on the main page Options - Keyboard - Advanced - Enable Console (Tick) - Apply - Ok Then to access the console press the key next to number 1 and underneath esc at the top left corner of your keyboard.
i got the same thing, to help with the lag turn off HDR (i think *or HDL*) its under options > video > advanced, set it to none. It is a feature for Day of Defaut:Source which was released today but no cs:source maps have it enabled yet so it doesnt make a difference. I also just got this wierd problem where im playing and then my ping goes up to like atleast 300 then i freeze and my internet dies..its real annoying. I can fix the internet by resetting the modem and router but everytime i got to play cs:s it cuts. Its really annoying ;(, i hope they patch this fast wow thats one of my longest posts ever edit: i dont know if my problem is me or the patch though
god, so its not just mine that broke, well... last week i wan sitting there playing cs:s then it sudenly crashed im like WTF?! so i backed up my maps the reinstalled and still no work. so yesterday i tried again and yay it works but NOOOO i used to be ranked 13 with 4500 kills 2300 deaths but now ive lost my rank
