LCD's are so much better than CRT's...just get a good one.

At the moment i have 2 PC's setup, 1 LCD one CRT, and if you cant tell which one is better then youd have to be blind...

Nahh. Really low resolutions. Most TVs only go up to like 800 x 600.

I have a 19" CRT, my dad's got a 21.3" LCD. The LCD's colors are much brighter, the picture's much sharper, and the monitor itself looks badass. But, it cost $500. I got mine for $46, used. You decide. I know you're short on cash after your PC, so...

Edit: If you do get a CRT, get flat screen. Mine's not, but it's facing away from light sources, so the glare's not to bad. But it can be.

crts are actually better for gaming. Because they have lower response times, but with lcds fast catching up soon lcds will be in the lead.

Well think of it this way the screen itself takes up 3/4 of my desk and in only have just enough space to fit my keyboard and mouse, therefore where I sit is fairly close to the screen which will eventually ruin my eyes and I normally walk away with sore eyes after a session of gaming

CRT monitors resize screen resolutions better which is good for gaming, also, they have somewhat better refresh rates.

LCDs are just plane nice in terms of looking at it and general use, they aren't so bright which is nice
