Crop Tool Messed Up

for some reason my crop tool only crops certain dimensions
so basically its not free-drag
can someone tell me how to undo this?

Could you explain that more in detail, I've never come across this problem before. :O

 

go to your options palette when you have crop tool selected and click clear

 

You know that bar above your working space? (When you have brush tools selected, you can adjust the opacity and whatnot there). You should see something that says "Fixed Dimensions" "Normal" and "Ratio", or something along those lines.
