So i wanna know how many we are alowed? because i didnt know we had a limit?

Seems BS that we are saying no to good artists because the crew is " full" yet there are only like 6 active posters?

There is actually no limit, but we don't want a huge group. We don't need 50+ people here. Gets crowded and then we can't focus as much on helping/critiquing each other, which is the point of a crew, isn't it?

A crew might mean somthing different to you then me however, the 17 ( 6 active ) or w/e the actual number is, is far from 50.

i think "full" is the wrong term to be using :/ if you think were crowded then thats a bit different... I think its a bit much to just say 'no were full' to someone's app... what is the crew too full to do? theres really nothing that we do that we couldnt do better with more people it seems :/ if you dont wanna let someone in let it be a real reason

i can see both sides. we don't want to get too big and impersonal, but at the same time, we let a ton of people back in who are not very active much.

I agree, but I had always assumed when our apps are closed, that means we're full? I agree that we could kick out those who aren't contributing and get those who would.

Im just saying, i dont care how big the crew is or gets to me numbers hvae no baring, but i would have to say the crew has a dictatorship feel it atm? it feels to me someone said we are full then everyone went along?

At the end of the day, we can do just as much or more with a bigger crew then a smaller for instance.
    - OUR SOTW MIGHT GET MORE ENTRIES
    - OUR CREW PROJECTS WILL BE THAT MUCH MORE SPECTACULAR
    - FUTURE PACKS PUT TOGETHER WILL BE BIGGER
-ACTIVITY WILL BOOM ( i know some of you are saying well it will be too hard t sort through the posts in say "show off " well ATM i see alot of people posting their work without even considering looking or C&Cing on others. Not to mention crews were in a single thread for ages )
-MORE IDEAS AND RECOURCES WILL FLOW THROUGH OUR CREW
    - MORE PEOPLE TO COLLABORATE WITH

However i do beileve we should start to only allow members with good skills allready, because i dont wanna see a activlist of 20 with 10 people only having the basics. Hottness and Freshness is a must.

i agree with what ikky just said. that past few people who have been brought up as potential join-ees i said no to because of skills/experience on GR, not because were full. i also just figured that when apps were closed it was because the crew was dealing with stuff within the crew and too busy to deal with new members.

i completely disagree with you ikky

you will see the same thing as when it started at first every new member will enter
but after a couple of sotw's less and less people will enter

what crew project, al we've ever done is talk about it and we cant even agree on what to do as a crew project

you make packs to either sell or give out to the comunity so it doesnt help BC either way

initially yes, but members always get complacent about being in a crew or have problems irl
that couses them to become inactive

you will see the same thing as when we first got the private forum at first everyone shares and is ecxited about it
but that allways changes, people take it for granted that people share things so that they dont even comment
on whats being shared cousing the people who do share things to think to themselfs, i wont share anything with them anymore

thats imo an invalid argument, you dont need to be be in a crew to do collabs

this is my opinion because i've been in alot crews on alot of different forums
and i've seen what happens to crews who keep accepting members
all you will end up with is instead of the inactive members there are now
are the inactive members we have now + the new members that get accepted that will inevetably become inactive
with the ecxeption of 1/2 new members

"The reason why we want to have another member is bcoz some members of BC is not active anymore. Its like adding and dropping. I agree with nightmare here. About the SOTW. How come only have a few entries so far. I cant see all of the members of BC participates on SOTW. Do you suggest other events like Smudge of the week or Large art of the month?

I don't care about how many peeps we have in the crew, aslong as it doesn't get too crowded.

well... it seems like this is being sparked by alot of people who want to join recently, some of which who have fairly moderate skills, and some of which who are just relatively new to GR. What if the crew were to have like a temporary membership status, a "learning member" or something, to help some new guys/girls (ok i admit it, they do exist on the internet) and we help them with their work and then release them back into the wild! err... rest of GR :D it could be people invited by current members and we wouldn't have to worry so much about overpopulation... it'd be like an internship :)
