Crew Donators

Hi,

Its kind of annoying for everyone that is in a crew, if they've donated, but their names are like regular members. Honestly, I doubt many of us are trying to show off or anything, but it just makes the names look better. So, I was thinking that if a member of a crew has donated, he/she gets the user bar of the crew, but keeps the colored name. I've heard a fair amount of people suggest or complain about this, but I don't think it was ever brought to the staff.

Thats not how it works.

There called " premission skins " the skins have set abilities hence you join prem you get thier abilities and when you join BC you keep them rights but really you are a prem bc member if that makes sense.

For instance im a ruby and you might be a plat member but really you are a plat bc member and im just a ruby bc member... however everyone shows as equal other wise you wouldnt be able to view our hidden section.

 

ikky is right. you cant have the crew logo but the colored name. you have to choose between one and the other. you still have access to all the diamond sections, but people just cant see. you have to decide what group most important to you.

 

Then couldn't you just make 3 more groups that can view the crew forum? The Ruby BC, Diamond BC, and Platinum BC ?
And just have 4 groups that can view the forum, normal bc members, ruby bc, diamond bc, and platinum?

All the changes would apply to the other 2 crews.

Thats really only 9 more groups in total.

 

Which is far more work to maintain than its worth.

 

Plus i believe things like excess skins would add to not only confusion but band width ect?

 

I know when I owned a forum you can give people permmission to a part of a forum, so couldnt we just get the Donator banner thingy, colored name, and also just get permission to the BC forum, i dont think its that difficult.

 

It is VERY difficult (Well not hard, but annoying)

You would have to make four groups for each crew. Copy over all of the permissions, etc.

It is too much work for the staff. Either be in a crew, or be a "donator". Donating is called Donating for a reason. If you bought it so people would view you in a certain way, well then... That is quite immoral imo.

We can keep your donator color if you would prefer and you will still be able to access your crew forum but if you want your donator color then you wont have your crew userbar,its your choice.

It would take about 20 minutes, but then after that, it would be exactly the same as it is now, just putting the member in the right group.

 

Fallen, its too much time and headache, think about it. For Every crew. 4 Extra Groups...thats like 20-30 extra groups for no reason, it really isnt worth it. I say...just pick.

Crew banner and No name color, and access to forum.

Donator/Ruby...ect banner and the color, and access to forum...It shouldnt be that complicated.

 

yes you can get the donator banner and a yellow name and have permission, but you wont have the crew userbar.

bottom line - 2 options:
1. you have your crew userbar and access to crew forum and donator forum without a colored name
2. you have your donator userbar and a colored name and have access to crew forum and donator forum

if you want to change what userbar you have, then PM an admin, other than that there is no discussion. PM me if you want to yell at me.

 

When the admins already have a full forum with complaining members, even 20 minutes to create the groups is too much time. After that, then they have to see who did what, and thats gonna be another hour+ for each crew.

Okay i asked draven to do it for me..This is how it will look, and you will have access to the Crew forum.

 

I believe there is a mod that lets you have two userbars for the main group and secondary group, then the diamond or whatever will be the main so you have the color
