Wouldn't work.....we have that allready and people get past it by adding a bunch of .'s and stuff so it would be bypassed

Pretty sure I mentioned this before... but like others have said... people spam to get into premium renders.... *SOLUTION*

Turn off the premium section's visibility.... (just like the prem forum for non-prem members... far as they know, it's a myth mentioned in the advertising for premium membership)

Just do the same thing for the premium render section, and activate it for members with like over 100 posts or something.

Then set it to post an "x" amount within "x" amount of days before you can access it.

That way people who have been here long enough to have made 100 posts without knowledge of the premium render forum would have an adequate knowledge of how things work, and that spam is not tolerated.

Maybe also.... install the spam forum as many have asked... not that I would visit myself, spam is a waste of my time and finger strength. :lol: Just disable credits and post count in there.

The Thanks mod that others have mentioned is also a great idea to cut down on the amount of spam.

I was thinkin you guys should just take it out of some forums but that might lead to less postin in some and more in others..

I personally need mroe creds and I cant use my PS atm so Im kinda screwed here..
And theres no way im payin real cash for a fake online currency..thats just pathetic..

As people say. They spam for prem render section. Because if they plan to use the credits they generaly are a regular part of the community.

 

Why not just ban the spammers on the spot? Why not make it so people will report the spammers... I don't care a LOT about credits but they do mean a lot to me on this site. As you can see almost EVERYTHING, ALMOST, is ran with credits, buying renders, buy psds, buying brushes, etc. Selling things, etc. So yeah, why not just ban spammers on the spot. Temporary ban and lost of credits maybe for the week.

 

good idea, if it works it'll be good, but then it'll be very hard to buy some stuff on the marketplace but good as a temp idea

 

It doesn't really bother me that the credits are turned off I never use them for anything I just put in the bank. The only thing I ever used credits for was to buy a thing to change my name, thats it.

If the staff of GR want to test this to see how it changes things then I will support that. Some of you say its not worth posting here because there is no credits received but I think thats wrong, GR is a great forum, I normally don't post unless I have to or want to throw my 2 cents in. But anyway its not like my opinion means anything to anyone.

 

yeah it's not like stopping credits will stop people from posting who enjoy their stay here... but for people like me... I like to buy sigs/psds (yeah I'm still learnign)... see now that's the problem... 'cause there are people who spam and those who are just participating in this forum community... and those people ARE getting punished too... well techinically speaking
